Didn't see that coming

Well I've always said that at least Rock or Jen would be in the finals presumably both, and with that showing last night I thought for sure would be the finals. I think Bonnie was as shocked as I was to hear she was in the finals but....Wow good for her.

Well good luck to both finalists and I'm eager to see how their restaurants will be arranged and the food they'll serve. Monday will be an interesting final. well bye:)

Bored

I am so bored right now. I have never been this bored in my life...and I'm hungry too but there's no food here:( Anyways I actually have nothing to rant about today..or at least nothing I can think of. Hmmm, it's friday I think we need a break from sytycd *gasps* .. well i can rant about doctor who and transformers but i'm too hungry to do that, just know that they are good and you should watch it.

good so far fairly original cute lead, i like that bed scene in the 3rd? episode (it was just cool, no000 no james bond stuff)

great show about a drug addict doctor... talk about irony. He is good at what he does and is a jerk, manipulator, etc. Not ur typical doctor. good drama the only one that i have seen all the episode for during the season

Summer Viewing

So everyone knows that So You Think You Can Dance is a must-watch show for the summer but what else is good on TV? Well aside catching up on some regular faves with reruns, House comes to mind, there are some good shows on now. Starting with Fox, A returning fav Hell’s Kitchen is scrumptious and a bit more palatable, ok not really but the chefs are looking good….better now that it’s close to finals. It took a bit longer than last year I think to get a good service, then again I could be wrong (to be honest I think it will be down to Rock and Jen.)

Okay next summer fav, Burn Notice on USA, Jeffrey Donovan is really good as Michael Westen a spy blacklisted aka given a burn notice and he’s trying to figure out who did it so that he can get back into the espionage business. The intro explains it. It’s really good. Old favs such as Monk, Psych, Deadzone and 4400 also return.

What else, hmm? For scifi lovers Who Wants To Be A Superhero and Doctor Who is back but sadly Stargate SG1 is gone for good. It wa a good show too. Oh well.

Ok now for movies, if you haven’t seen Transformers yet, go and watch it NOW! It is he movie of the summer as I have said before. Simpsons Movie should be good (Spider pig, Spider pig, does what ever a spider pig does..lol). Bourne Ultimatum next week looks good. It looks like a good summer to watch TV and go to movies but remember to get some activity otherwise. Anyways see you later

Parting is such sweet sorrow

What does that really mean?? Well it means for me at least tonight that another great pair of dancers are gone (sorrow) but we are closer to seeing the finale (Suhweeet!) lol

To be honest in terms of girls the real stand out last night was Sabra, her couples and solo was excellent. I gotta show Lacey some love too cuz she was superb but then again I expect her to be (she got good genes J). I was really sad to see Jaimee go but at this stage it’s hard to see anyone go…..

For the boys Kameron leaving to me, though kinda expected, (well you know Dom, Dan and Pash are my faves and Neil was good) was kinda hard cuz I really liked his solo. Well at least he’ll be on the tour so that’s good.

I can’t believe that Mia Michaels though that Pasha would be in the bottom 2, he wasn’t that bad in the solo.

Anyways the controversies, I really didn’t realize them until they pointed them out. The military jacket thing, well it did look military to me I just didn’t realize it was an actual uniform. I guess I need to watch more ads for the Marines, I really like their uniform too. Anyways what emblem was misrepresented? I honestly don’t know and would love if someone would inform me.

The anti-war dance too, well, I thought it was about fighting for peace in general not stopping the war in Iraq, but coming to place where there will be no need for war but I guess we have that to look forward to when Christ comes back.

Oh yeah comments on Hell’s Kitchen last Monday, well, I knew Josh would be leaving but I didn’t think it would be that bad. I mean before service really start, wow. Julie I’m just proud of her, I really am. She is an inspiration, just because she was a waffle house cook they belittle her but Guess what she was in the top 5 and they weren’t, she’s getting Chef Ramsey to send her the culinary school and they aren’t, Nee neer, neener nee neeer.

Oh yeah opening dance, it was great, another wonderful and weird Mia Michaels dance and congrats to both her and Wade for the Emmy Nom. I didn’t even know these shows could be nominated. Anyways well done sytycd people.

Beyond, Beyond, Beyond, Beyond…. Beyond

That’s what Mia Michaels said about Danny. Danny is one of my favourites and no it’s not just because he’s hot. When he dances it is so fluid and smooth, when he leaps my heart leaps too, he is just so good. He has so much potential, his jumps, flips, etc are amazing though, and they are just so high. I really want to see him do an antelope dance.

Pasha, my fav from the beginning, did great in hip hop last night. TRANSFORMERS!! (for those who haven’t seen it, it is THE movie of the summer!) yeah I really enjoyed his routine with Lauren, it was well done. Props to Shane Sparks for that one. The chemistry was definitely there for them, but then again it’s Pasha how can you not have chemistry.

I got to be honest though, I wasn’t totally impressed by his solo but I think it was good for a ballroom dancer.

Speaking of solos Sabra, my favourite girl, had a spectular one and her dance with Kameron was amazing. I felt it! I wasn’t feeling Kameron as much though but like Mia said he redeemed himself with the solo.

I loved Dominic last night too, I don’t care what the judges say let’s remember that he is a Breaker-Boy and he did fine. I got a lot to comment on but for now here’s my favourite dance of the night. Lacey and Danny’s Samba, by the way awesome partnering, I don’t care what the judges say and fav solo is Sabra’s.

It was just time to go

I guess it was just time to go. I say this in reference to Melisa (Hell's Kitchen), and Cedric and Shauna (So You Think You Can Dance) But hey at least Cedric is going to Debbie Allen's School and maybe Shauna can get a part in Step up 2, so all's well that ends well.

I can't honestly say that I was surprised that Danny was in the bottom he kinda has a thing about him, not arrogant , kinda standoffish... not very friendly and warm like.. well Pasha. Pasha has a kinda Benji-like warmth to him, he connects with the audience and we feel the joy he feels when he dances. I don't get that from Danny who is a great dancer but he needs to "perform" more.

His dance was great though i loved his solo even better... mmmm
Do I sense another Dmitri 'So you think can *rips shirt off* but hey i don't mind Danny is hot


Hok and Jamie's were incredible , nice wedding dance . Granted it wasn't perfect but Hok a breaker-boy had to lead i think i was great considering that. I think someone crushes on Hok and vice versa?

Speaking of crushes did Dominic kiss Sabra behind that hat? If u look closely u can see a bit of nude lip gloss on Dom's lips after the dance. Now there are two possibilities
1. he had it on before- evidence a clip shows that putting on lip gloss on him before the dance
2. he kissed sabra and got it in his lips- well since Dom seems to have a tendency of licking his lips it would have been licked of during the dance and renewed by sabra's kiss..hmmm


i know the quality it's great but i couldn't find anymore.

Now I love Kameron and Lacey but Nigel is kinda right if Kameron doesn't step up he will be lost in the crowd and to be honest i think Lacey is carrying him now, but let me make it clear Kameron is a good dancer but he needs some more pizazz (is that how it's spelt?). They did a great hustle though, lotsa love to the choreographer.



Loved the Benji-Pasha combination.
One of the best performances.

Poor Boys

I feel bad for the men of Hell's Kitchen they now have to contend with Melissa . Now ordinarily I would be rooting for the girls to win, girl power and all that, but i was really just impressed by how the men just pulled together to do all their activities successfully.

The women were really acting like.. well, you know what as Chef Ramsey said.. well not so much last night they had a semblance of a team, although i felt it was all me, me , me with little regard for teamwork in Melissa's case.
I can understand their fury towards Melissa she and kinda of insulted Bonnie, and earlier on the season, Julia as well. I initially liked Melissa because of her leadership qualities, she needed to rally the team early on and she did. She is probably right the girls may not have made it through the first 3 challenges without her but she needs to learn how to adapt to different situations if she is going to own a successful restaurant.

To be honest I think that the girls are much better off without Melissa, and that Rock will knock heads with her on the men's team. If she is going to stay in this competition she is going to need to learn one of the most things in the world of work..TEAMWORK. She needs to trust her teammates a bit more, and figure out how to check up on them without getting on their nerves. I think the "I am superior" vibe she sends out to the girls is to her detriment and if she doesn't learn to take instructions from Rock and follow his lead, she is going to be gone next week.

She looks like a good leader but there is a fine line between leadership and bossiness and I think Melissa is a bit too close to the wrong side.
PS... Isn't it funny that Jen was the best chef ( the garbage incident is still fresh in my mind but at least she's learning from her mistakes.)
